150: Two parishes celebrate milestone anniversaries

St. Columbkille, St. Wendel

St. Columbkille Parish in St. Wendel celebrated its 150th anniversary July 29. The festivities began with an outdoor polka Mass with music by the Nite Owls from Sauk Centre and continued with a hog roast, refreshments, DJ music, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting and a bouncy house.

Seven Dolors, Albany

Seven Dolors Parish in Albany celebrated its 150th anniversary Aug. 5. The festivities began with an indoor polka Mass with music by the Nite Owls and continued with a chicken and ham dinner, food and refreshment stands, games for kids, bingo and live music all afternoon.
