Bishop welcomes those seeking to join church at Easter Vigil

Bishop Donald Kettler celebrated the Rite of Election March 1 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud with catechumens, those who are preparing to receive the sacraments of initiation — baptism, confirmation and the Eucharist — at the Easter Vigil. During the event, he also welcomed candidates in the Call to Continuing Conversion. These individuals have been baptized and now seek full communion with the Catholic Church through confirmation and/or the Eucharist. There are 22 catechumens and 56 candidates from parishes throughout the diocese this year.
