Fourteen members of the Diocese of St. Cloud’s Latino Catholic community (and one from the Diocese of Crookston) completed their studies and earned a certificate in pastoral ministry from the diocese.

Bishop Donald Kettler is asking each of our diocese’s 29 Area Catholic Communities to host a synod consultation over the next few months.

“We’ve had to make many sacrifices. But we make them in light of our Catholic faith, which calls us to show care and compassion for our neighbors, including the elderly and those with underlying health conditions for whom the virus can have devastating consequences.”

Members of the Diocese of St. Cloud’s stewardship advisory committee reflect on questions surrounding stewardship practices and local efforts.

The St. John’s School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville has named Shawn Colberg as its new dean. He replaces Benedictine Father Dale Launderville, who has served in the position since 2015.

As they accompanied one man on his life’s journey with all its challenges, St. Mary’s Cathedral parishioners rallied around him with a spirit of compassion.

“Together” was the theme for this year’s combined middle and high school youth rally, held at Cathedral High School in St. Cloud Jan. 30.

“Authentic joy is spiritual, literally a divine gift from the Holy Spirit. If we lose our sense of the sacredness of life, the goodness of creation, the dignity of others made in God’s image, we also lose our connection with God and sever our link to spiritual joy.”
