‘Day on the Hill’ is chance to impact public policy

The “Day on the Hill,” the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition’s annual policy briefing and lobby day, is from 8:15 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, in St. Paul.

Clergy and lay people from across the state are invited to attend the event with the theme “If not now, when?” to show interfaith commitment to social justice and to participate in the lawmaking process. The event, includes prayer, issue briefings, time to meet with district legislators and opportunities to take action. The keynote address will presented by Rabbi David Locketz, senior rabbi of Bet Shalom Congregation in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Online registration ends at noon, Friday, March 9. Registration is also accepted at the door on the day of the event and includes lunch. Standard registration is $45 and low income/student registration is $15. Visit jrlc.org/day-on-the-hill.

JRLC has four sponsoring members: Minnesota Catholic Conference, Minnesota Council of Churches, Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas, and Islamic Center of Minnesota.
