Newly ordained Crosier priest to celebrate first Mass in Onamia

Newly ordained Crosier Father Alex Juguilon will celebrate a first Mass at the National Shrine of St. Odilia in Onamia on July 22.

The U.S. Crosier Fathers and Brothers celebrated his ordination to the priesthood at St. Gregory Church in Phoenix, Arizona, May 26. Father Juguilon recently completed his six-month deacon in-service. He celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving May 27 at St. Gregory.

He made his solemn profession May 21, 2017, at the Priory Church of the Holy Cross in Phoenix and was ordained to the diaconate June 17, 2017, at Holy Cross Priory Church in Onamia by Bishop Donald Kettler of St. Cloud.

Father Juguilon, 48, was born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in North Royalton, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Prior to joining the Crosiers, he worked as a doctor of sleep medicine in the Cleveland area. He has a doctorate of medicine and surgery from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston University.
