Sacred relics coming to Perham, Holdingford

Two churches in the St. Cloud Diocese will host “Exposition of Sacred Relics — Treasures of the Church” presented by Companions of the Cross Father Carlos Martins.

The event at St. Henry Church in Perham begins at 6:15 p.m. (following the 5 p.m. Mass) Saturday, June 2.

It begins at All Saints-St. Mary Church in Holdingford at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6.

The purpose of Treasures of the Church ministry is to give people an experience of the living God through an encounter with the relics of saints. Each exposition begins with a multi-media presentation on the church’s use of relics. Afterwards, attendees have an opportunity to venerate the relics.

More than 150 relics will be shown, including those of St. Maria Goretti, St. Thérèse of Lisieux (the “Little Flower”), St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Faustina Kowalska. Additionally, there is a piece of a veil that is believed to have belonged to Our Lady and one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross in the world.
