Scientists, farmers, theologians discuss agriculture as ‘noble vocation’

110 participants from 18 states were drawn together through concerns about “what’s happening around agriculture and family farms, what’s happening in our rural communities and our rural life, concerns about food security and how we’re going to feed the world in the future, while caring at the same time for our environment,” Catholic Rural Life executive director James Ennis said.

Celebrating the value of Catholic education

The Diocese of St. Cloud celebrated Catholic Schools Week by holding Masses at two locations simultaneously Jan. 31. Two thousand students and teachers from the St. Cloud area Catholic Community Schools gathered at Cathedral High School, while 600 were on hand at St. John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville.

About 430 men from around the diocese gathered for the 21st annual Catholic Men’s Conference Feb. 3 at St. John’s University in Collegeville.

Junior High Youth Rally

Youth in grades six, seven and eight from around the diocese gathered at St. John’s University Jan. 7 for the annual Junior High Youth Rally. The event is a gathering of the young diocesan church to celebrate being Catholic through Eucharist, learning about the faith and having fun together
