The president and founder of FOCUS says young people who stick to the Church are the ones who have discovered their first love: Jesus. The reason so many young people are drifting away is because the Church has “lost its voice,” he said.
Like any good love story, Andrew and Katie Hellmann’s tale has interesting twists and turns. Today, the couple serve together on college campuses through an outreach group called FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students.
More than 8,000 young adults from around the country gathered at McCormick Place for a biennial conference sponsored by the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, known as FOCUS, in Chicago in early January to gain the tools to share their faith with the world.
