The parishes of St. Augustine and St. Mary’s Cathedral hosted an Our Lady of Fatima Centennial Celebration Oct. 13 to honor the 100-year anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s final apparition to the children of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun. The event began with a prayer service in the Prayer Garden at St. Katharine Drexel School, followed by a rosary procession from the school to St. Mary’s Cathedral and a crowning of the Blessed Mother. The day also included eucharistic adoration and evening prayer with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction.
