2019 Bishop’s Annual Appeal: Measurable impact

Here are two examples of the measurable impact of the 2019 Bishop’s Annual Appeal:

Anita Fischer

“The January issue of The Central Minnesota Catholic featured an article on Roland Brummer, a volunteer with the No One Dies Alone program at the St. Cloud Hospital. This article touched the hearts of many people who read it! We received dozens of inquiries about the program and have gained 15 new volunteers in this ministry. We continue to have people mention reading the article and how grateful folks are to know there is such a program at our regional hospital. I am grateful to The Central Minnesota Catholic for highlighting this ministry at St. Cloud Hospital and also keeping me informed about the good work being done in our diocese and the global Church.”

“A portion of the funds I give to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal each year comes back to the parishes for religious education programs. I saw how important it was as my own kids were going through the program and I renew my gift each year. I have also seen the impact of marriage prep and Retrouvaille [a marriage program that helps couples in struggling marriages restore and rebuild a healthy and loving relationship]. I have friends who have gone through Retrouvaille and it saved their marriages. The work the diocese does in general and with the parishes is something I want to continue to support. It is important work to spread the faith.”
