2020 BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL LAUNCHES THIS MONTH
Each year, the Bishop’s Annual Appeal raises funds to support vital ministries in the Diocese of St. Cloud. This year’s theme, “Transformed by faith, sent in service to all” focuses on the Eucharist.

“The Eucharist is a sacrament of communion — uniting us with God and with one another. It sends us on mission to become what we receive: the Body of Christ, offering the gift of ourself and our good works to others,” Bishop Kettler wrote in a letter being mailed this month to local Catholics.
“The ministries supported by the Bishop’s Annual Appeal are at the heart of this mission,” he said. “They provide assistance, education and pastoral care to people throughout our diocese.”
Among ministries supported by the Appeal are vocations, Catholic education, faith formation, marriage preparation, family life, pastoral planning, multicultural ministries, ministry to the divorced and the TV Mass for the homebound.
“I ask you to please prayerfully discern a gift to the Appeal and join others around the diocese in supporting this work, which is so necessary today and as we look toward the future,” Bishop Kettler said. “The need is great and your gift — no matter the amount — makes a difference in the lives of many others throughout our 16-county diocese.
“I am very grateful for every gift made to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal,” he said.
This year the campaign will be announced in parishes on the weekend of Feb. 15-16. The following week, registered parishioners will receive a direct mail letter in their mailboxes.
On commitment weekend — Feb. 22-23 — parishioners are invited to bring their gift to Mass and place the special envelope in the offertory basket. Donations may also be made electronically or by U.S. mail.
