40 Days for Life Lenten campaign begins Feb. 17

The 40 Days for Life Lenten Campaign 2021 runs from Wednesday, Feb. 17, to Sunday, March 28. Individuals or parish, student and family groups are encouraged to join in a daily prayer vigil from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Monday through Friday) on the public sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood, 451 E. St. Germain, St. Cloud.

The opening prayer vigil is planned for Saturday, Feb. 20, and the closing prayer vigil will be Saturday, March 27. Both events are scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon at Planned Parenthood.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants will not go to St. Augustine Church for a luncheon social on either date.

There will also be an Eden Valley Vigil For Life from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the Fridays of the campaign, on the sidewalk in front of Assumption Church in Eden Valley. Dates include Feb. 19 and 26 and March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Signs will be provided at the church. This outdoor vigil coincides with the vigil held inside the church at the same time.

It is recommended that those who want to attend the daily prayer vigils sign up for a time slot, but anyone may also simply go to either site to pray with those who are there. To sign up online for St. Cloud, go to https://stcdio.org/respect-life/forty-days-life/. To make prior arrangements by phone or email for either location, contact coordinator Judy Haag at 320-453-7592 or judy4life@meltel.net.
