Benedictine Sister Christine Manderfeld’s collection of sung prayers titled “Sing of God’s Goodness: Calls to Worship and Responsories” was recently released by GIA Publications in Chicago.
The collection contains 12 calls to worship and six responsories spanning the liturgical seasons of Lent, Easter, Advent, Christmas, and Ordinary Time. Most of these pieces are sung by the Benedictine sisters during Sunday Morning Prayer, but Sister Christine also wrote three new calls to worship and three new responsories. Her music can be used in many prayer settings — in both Catholic and other Christian faith traditions.
“Sing of God’s Goodness: Calls to Worship and Responsories” is available for purchase at the Whitby Gift Shop at St. Benedict’s Monastery’s Art and Heritage Place in St. Joseph and also online at https://www.giamusic.com. A second volume containing antiphons, psalms and canticles is currently being prepared for publication by GIA.
