Bishop Neary invites all to pray rosary for peace Oct. 22

“A world at prayer is a world at peace.” These timeless words from Venerable Patrick Peyton, the beloved “Rosary Priest” and founder of Holy Cross Family Ministries, continue to echo with urgency and hope in these times. Father Peyton believed deeply in the power of the rosary to transform hearts, families and even nations.

“The rosary has saved the world in the past,” he said. “It will save the world again by saving the family.”

In response to Pope Leo XIII’s call for the universal Church to pray the rosary throughout the month of October, Bishop Patrick Neary, C.S.C., is inviting all the faithful of the Diocese of St. Cloud to join in a special day of prayer on Tuesday, October 22, by praying the rosary for peace.

Bishop Neary joins Brother Paul Bednarczyk, C.S.C., Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and Father Fred Jenga, C.S.C., President of Holy Cross Family Ministries, in this united invitation.

“In a world marked by division, violence and fear, the rosary is a gentle but powerful weapon of peace,” Bishop Neary said. “When we pray together, we not only draw closer to Christ and his Blessed Mother — we become instruments of healing and unity. I encourage every parish, school and household to take up the rosary on October 22 and offer it for peace in our families, our communities and our world.”
