Maryknoll Father Eugene Anthony Theisen, 91, a native of Wadena, died Dec. 7, 2018, at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Sleepy Hollow, New York.

School Sister of Notre Dame M. Lucia Aschenbrener, 90, died Dec. 28 at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Mankato, Minnesota.

Benedictine Father Kieran Nolan, 85, died Dec. 30 in the retirement center at St. John’s Abbey. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in St. John’s Abbey and University Church with interment in abbey cemetery.

Father Bernard Kahlhamer, 87, died Oct. 17 at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 20 at St. Joseph Church, Pierz, with Bishop Donald Kettler officiating. Burial was at St. John’s Cemetery in Lastrup.

Father Alexander Ludwig, 84, died April 26 at Grand Arbor Senior Living Community in Alexandria. He had served as a priest of the diocese for nearly 60 years.

Father Robert Charles Landsberger, 87, died Feb. 6 at the St. Cloud Hospital. He had served as a priest of the St. Cloud Diocese for 60 years.

Father Ronald Schmelzer, 73, a retired priest of the Diocese of St. Cloud, died July 14 in Kentucky. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July […]
