Pope to religious: Your hearts must be open 24-7

For the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the World Day for Consecrated Life, Pope Francis said believers’ hearts must be open, because every believer receives the faith from someone and is called to share it with others.

Rare relic of Auschwitz saint on display at Chicago church

The relics of St. Maximilian Kolbe, who died in Auschwitz Aug. 14, 1941 after volunteering to take the place of another man who was to be tortured in a room meant to starve people to death, have been given to churches around the world and displayed for public veneration.
