On a perfect day for an outdoor Mass, people from On a perfect day for an outdoor Mass, people from around the diocese gathered Aug. 16 at the Moenkedick Family Farm in Perham for the annual Rural Life Celebration with the theme “Fruit of the Earth, Work of Human Hands.” The celebration was hosted by the Northern Cross Area Catholic Community (Perham, Dent, Rush Lake and Butler) and the Moenkedick family. The event included the Mass celebrated by Father Mark Stang, presentation of the Century Farm Awards and the Rural Business Award, a sloppy joe and fresh corn dinner and children’s games and activities.
