Collection at Mass for Health Care Professionals to benefit free screenings

The collection taken during the Mass for Health Care Professionals will benefit Project H.E.A.L. (Health, Education, Access, Link), an outreach program of CentraCare Family Health Center that offers free health screenings and basic care at various Central Minnesota locations for those who have little or no insurance.

Health care professionals from all faiths as well as their family, friends and spouses are invited to the Mass at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, celebrated by Bishop Donald Kettler at Sacred Heart Chapel of St. Benedict’s Monastery in St. Joseph.

Bishop Kettler will offer a special blessing during the Mass for the hands of health workers in recognition of the caring outreach practiced by those in medical professions. A light reception in the Sacred Heart gathering space follows the Mass.
