DCCW sponsors diocesan eucharistic pilgrimage on August 3

The St. Cloud Diocesan Council of Catholic Women host the second Source and Summit Tour Eucharistic Pilgrimage on Thursday, Aug. 3. Participants may travel by passenger coach bus or drive themselves.

The pilgrimage starts at 7:15 a.m. with adoration with Father Greg Paffel at the St. Faustina Adoration Chapel at St. Paul Parish in Sauk Centre. There will be stops at St. Mary of Mount Carmel in Long Prairie, St. Frederick in Verndale, St. Henry in Perham, St. James in Underwood and Our Lady of the Lake in Battle Lake.

Speakers along the way will be Fathers Mitchell Bechtold and LeRoy Schik. Events include Mass, adoration, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, talks on the history of some of the churches and lunch at the 1894 restaurant in Perham. Pilgrims will return to Sauk Centre between 6:45 and 7 p.m.

The fee to take the coach bus is $25. Cost for the lunch, which must be pre-ordered, is $17. Lunch options include soup and salad bar with choice of one half-sandwich (either grilled cheese or BLT), beverage and dessert or soup and salad bar only. (Write checks for lunch to “Restaurant 1894.”)

Register for the pilgrimage, bus and lunch by July 17. To register, call treasurer Lora Knafla at 320-393-2701. Write $25 checks for the bus to the “St. Cloud DCCW.” Mail checks to Lora at 11719 16th Ave. N.W., Rice, MN 56367. If joining pilgrimage for lunch only (even if not taking the bus) RSVP to Lora regarding food choice.
