Diocese announces new priest assignments

OFFICIALS

The Most Reverend Donald J. Kettler, Bishop of the Diocese of Saint Cloud, makes the following appointments in the Diocese of Saint Cloud , effective June 29, 2021:

Reverend Thomas Becker from pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Opole, and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rice, to retirement.

Reverend Steven Binsfeld from pastor of the Church of Saint Mary, Alexandria, to retirement.

Reverend Lauren Germann from pastor of the Church of Saint Hubert, Blue Grass, the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, Menahga, and the Church of Saint Frederick, Verndale, to retirement.

Reverend Peter Kirchner from pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Runestone, Kensington, and the Church of Saint John Nepomuk, Lake Reno, to pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Opole, and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rice.

Reverend Aaron Kuhn to pastor of the Church of Saint Hubert, Blue Grass, the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady, Menahga, the Church of Saint Michael, Motley, the Church of the Sacred Heart, Staples, and the Church of Saint Frederick, Verndale, while continuing as pastor of the Church of Saint Joseph, Bertha, the Church of Saint John the Baptist, Bluffton, and the Church of Saint Ann, Wadena.

Reverend Matthew Kuhn from pastor of the Church of the Holy Cross, Butler, and the Church of Saint Henry, Perham, to pastor of the Church of Saint Mary, Alexandria.

Reverend Douglas Liebsch from sacramental minister of the Church of the Annunciation, Mayhew Lake, the Church of Saint Francis Xavier, Sartell, the Church of the Sacred Heart, Sauk Rapids, the Church of Saint Stephen, St. Stephen, and associate vocation director, to full-time vocation director while continuing as chaplain at Cathedral High School, St. Cloud.

Reverend Leo Moenkedick to pastor of the Church of Saint Gall, Tintah while continuing as pastor of the Church of Saint Mary of the Presentation, Breckenridge, and the Church of Saint Thomas, Kent.

Reverend Jeremy Ploof from pastor of the Church of Saint Gall, Tintah, to pastor of the Church of the Our Lady of the Runestone, Kensington, while continuing as pastor of the Church of Saint Olaf, Elbow Lake, and the Church of Saint Charles, Herman.

Reverend Scott Pogatchnik from full-time vocation director, while continuing as pastor of the Church of Saint Augustine, St. Cloud, the Church of Saint John Cantius, St. Cloud, and as rector of Saint Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud.

Reverend Oswaldo Roche from parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Andrew, Elk River, to parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Michael, St. Cloud, the Church of Saint Paul, St. Cloud, and the Church of Saint Peter, St. Cloud, while continuing as parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Joseph, Waite Park.
