Annual Farm Picnic, Pierz, Pierz Park

Pierz • Annual Farm Picnic begins at 1 p.m. at Pierz Park with free dinner including ham, sweet corn, potato salad, garden vegetables, freshly baked bread and ice cream. Thom Petersen, commissioner of agriculture, will discuss Minnesota’s tough year in agriculture and Dr. Mark Brakke, chairman of health care for All Minnesota, will address the high cost of health coverage. (Tickets needed for free dinner are available at area businesses displaying Farm Picnic posters and at picnic.)
