Alexandria • Community Block Party sponsored by St. Mary Parish — from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. — begins with KC pancake and sausage breakfast served from 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s School. Event at Runestone Community Center (802 3rd Ave. W.) includes free will offering lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., wine and beer garden, pie and ice cream, games for all ages, bingo, bouncy house, silent auction, country store, Vikings on widescreen TV and music by the Sideliners from 3 to 5 p.m. Grand raffle drawing at 5 p.m. — top prize of $20,000 car raffle or $15,000 cash.
