Alexandria • Community Block Party sponsored by St. Mary Parish — from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. — begins with pancake and sausage breakfast served from 8:30 a.m. to noon at St. Mary’s School. Event at Runestone Community Center includes food stands, wine and beer garden, games for all ages, bingo, kids’ carnival, country store, Vikings on widescreen TV and entertainment by Deb Long (11:30 a.m. to 1p.m.), Andrew Walesch (1 to 3 p.m.) and Tonic Sol-fa (3 to 5 p.m.). Grand raffle drawing at 5 p.m. — top prize of $20,000 car raffle or $15,000 cash. Free admission. (Mass celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m.)
