“Exposition of Sacred Relics” — Elk River, St. Andrew Parish

Elk River • Companions of the Cross Father Carlos Martins will present “Exposition of Sacred Relics: Treasures of the Church” at St. Andrew Church (566 4th St. N.W.) at 3 p.m. He begins by teaching about the relics. Father Martins will bring approximately 150 relics for the display — highlights are one of the largest certified relics of the true cross and a piece of the veil of Our Lady. Those who attend are invited to bring articles of devotion (such as rosaries or holy cards) and pictures of ill friends or family members, which they will be able to touch to the reliquaries as a means of intercession.
