Virtual Evening Prayer Service — St. Joseph, St. Benedict’s Monastery

St. Joseph • Benedictine Sisters host virtual Evening Prayer service titled “Prayer in Troubled Times: Lent — Again, or Still With Us?” at 7 p.m. Facilitated by Benedictine Sister Delores Dufner, this 20-minute prayer session includes spoken and sung prayers, Scripture, poetry, and intercessions. How might Lent and Easter take on new meaning this year as a result of the pandemic? God may be inviting us to a different kind of Lent: to go deeper rather than wider. Our call may be to accept a reality we did not choose, to do so not in a spirit of grim determination or self-pity, but in a spirit of trust and exploration.
