Bishop Donald Kettler installed newly elected Diocesan Council of Catholic Women officers at their 64th annual fall conference at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Little Falls Sept. 16. They are president Cheryl Weller, Belgrade; vice president Linda Scepurek, Little Falls; and secretary, Pat Kasella, Royalton. The theme of the conference was “Faith, Family and Fatima.”
Keynote speaker Father Joseph Herzing discussed his recent trip to Fatima, Portugal, and its history of apparitions. Chris Codden, director of the diocesan Office of Marriage and Family Life, spoke on “Seventeen Minutes to J.O.Y.” Bishop Kettler presided at Mass, which was concelebrated by DCCW spiritual advisor Father Jerry Mischke.
Also, three members from the St. Cloud Diocese were installed in national positions at the recent National Council of Catholic Women convention held in Dallas — Arleen Roelike on the nominating committee; Eva Koep on The Associates of NCCW, Inc. board; and Irene Schmidt as province director.
