As a way to understand why so many have drifted from the Church — and what might draw them back — Father Erik Lundgren and Kelli Kleinschnitz of the Holy Saints Area Catholic Community launched a postcard campaign to invite fallen-away or under-practicing Catholics to share their stories through an anonymous survey. The cards also invited them to attend a “Your Path” event with former Minnesota Vikings center Matt Birk as the featured speaker. On Jan. 14, more than 500 people turned out to hear him share his story of rediscovering purpose, faith and calling in today’s world at St. Mary, Help of Christians Church in St. Augusta.
