After Janice Wuebkers attended a Healing the Whole Person Weekend in St. Paul hosted by the John Paul II Healing Center, she felt called to bring the weekend event to the Diocese of St. Cloud.
“It was amazing and unlike anything I have ever experienced,” she said.

The experience was led by renowned speakers and authors Bob Schuchts, Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Sister Miriam James Heidland and Bart Schuchts, who focused on sharing God’s healing love through teaching, prayer, personal reflection and the sacraments.
When Wuebkers asked the JPII Healing Center about the possibility of bringing the full event to the diocese, she was provided with a list of parameters to meet. In the meantime, she began work on the next best thing — finding a way to bring the same content to Central Minnesota.
Soon a committee of nine individuals across five Area Catholic Communities was formed. Each had attended the Healing the Whole Person Weekend, eight in St. Paul with Wuebkers. All expressed that they walked away from the experience changed and shared Wuebkers’ passion to host the event locally.
Three ACCs will share the eight-part Healing the Whole Person through a video series with watch parties in Holdingford, St. Cloud and Little Falls, representing three ACCs: Mary and the Saints ACC, All Called to Christ ACC and Haven of Mercy ACC.
“It’s been fun to see how the Holy Spirit is working,” said Kelli Kleinschnitz, who attended the retreat herself. She is one of the event organizers and a member of Holy Saints ACC.
The video series explores emotional, physical and spiritual healing and will include talks led by the same well-known speakers from the in-person event.
All are welcome to attend, and the event promises that participants will leave changed.
“You may go into the experience desiring healing in a particular area,” said Dave Wilder, an organizer and member of St. Michael Parish in St. Cloud, part of the Together as One ACC. “That’s not always what you get.”
Kleinschnitz added, “But you will not leave without some gift [from the Holy Spirit.]”
Hosting the in-person event in the future is still a goal of the committee.
“Even if that doesn’t happen, these video events will reach and heal people,” Wuebkers said.
