The 12th annual Green Fair Folk Festival will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, outdoors at St. Francis Convent. This community celebration showcasing environmentally friendly ideas is free and open to the public.
Free activities will be available for children in a safe, creative atmosphere — face painting, games, crafts and much more. Food vendors will provide affordable food, including the 25-cent Franciscan peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Local artisans will share about their earth-friendly products and fairly traded items. Indoor and outdoor tours will be available.
From 4 to 6 p.m., there will be music by The OK Factor and Homespun Jammin’. From 6 to 8 p.m., St. Francis Music Center’s Ukulele Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble will take the stage as well as bands from St. Francis Music Center’s URock Camp.
