“Journey With Jesus to Calvary” will be presented four times at St. Francis of Assisi Church in St. Francis:
• 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6;
• 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9;
• 1 p.m. on Palm Sunday, April 10.
This is the 12th year the play will be performed. There is no admission cost but a free-will offering will be collected.
“This production has brought our parish community together and really developed people’s talents in acting, singing and sewing,” said Jane Keppers, who was the religious education director for the parish at the time the play was started in 2009. It was originally a lesson for her religious education students. Bob Theisen, the current director of the play, portrayed Jesus during the years that Keppers directed it.
