Two young singers from the Diocese of St. Cloud have been chosen to participate in the National Catholic Youth Choir this summer.
Ben Owen-Block, a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish in St. Cloud and Dean Rothstein from St. Boniface Parish in Cold Spring are among the 34 choristers representing 17 dioceses around the country.
The singers will participate in choir camp at St. John’s University in Collegeville beginning July 6, followed by a 4-day tour that includes stops in Superior, Wisconsin, Mankato and Edina. The tour wraps up July 14 with a concert at 10 a.m., followed by Mass at St. John’s Abbey Church.
The camp, founded by Benedictine Father Anthony Ruff, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
