Mass for health care professionals set for Nov. 6

Bishop Donald Kettler will celebrate a Mass honoring health care professionals at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. The Mass is inspired by the service of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals and their commitment to their faith and work.

Sometimes called a “White Mass” for the color worn by many medical professionals, the liturgy is an opportunity for the Diocese of Saint Cloud to say thank you. Health care professionals will gather under the patronage of St. Luke, patron of physicians, to bless their healing work. All are invited to attend.

“With the coronavirus pandemic, we know the essential importance of health care professionals and the care they give to our society, our Church and our people,” Bishop Kettler said. “This Mass is a way to give thanks to God and to them and for what they do and who they are.”
