National Association of State Catholic Conference Directors (NASCCD) has elected as its next president Jason Adkins, Executive Director and General Counsel of the Minnesota Catholic Conference.

The NASCCD is an association of the executive directors of state Catholic conferences and affiliate diocesan agencies. The members meet twice each year to consider the public policy challenges and opportunities facing the Church and the nation, and to collaborate and strategize about how to make the Church’s voice effective in the public arena.

“The NASCCD is a special group of people who are not just colleagues but also treasured friends. I am honored that that they have chosen me to serve in this role and lead the coordination of the group’s activities and put together our invaluable meetings,” said Adkins.

Adkins has served as Minnesota Catholic Conference’s Executive Director since March 2011.

NASCCD is comprised of 40 state Catholic conferences with nine affiliated diocesan public policy offices. Adkins’s term as president continues until August 2028.

The Minnesota Catholic Conference is the public policy voice of the Catholic Church in Minnesota.
