National speakers to present at RCIA workshop May 13

As part of the Ephphetha Series celebrating initiation into the Catholic Church, a workshop, “Mystagogy as a Tool for Parish Renewal,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Sacred Heart Church in Sauk Rapids.

Timothy O’Malley, director of the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy, South Bend, Indiana, and Father J. Michael Joncas, university artist-in-residence and fellow at the Center for Catholic Studies of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, are the presenters. There is a separate track for priests and deacons.

This is a series on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults provided by the Office of Worship for the Diocese of St. Cloud. The series is funded by a Vital Worship Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.
