Parishioners braved the winter weather on Ash Wednesday to fill St. James Church in Jacobs Prairie, part of the Centered on Christ Area Catholic Community. Father LeRoy Scheierl celebrated the early evening Mass. Ash Wednesday is a day of prayer and fasting and marks the first day of Lent.
