Bishop Patrick Neary and the priests, deacons and faithful of the diocese gathered at St Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud March 26 for the annual Chrism Mass. During the Mass, Bishop Neary blessed the holy oils that will be used in parishes this year — the oil for the sick and the oil for catechumens — and consecrated the Sacred Chrism. At this Mass, the people of God pray for everyone and everything these oils will anoint in the coming year. Diocesan priests also renewed their priestly promises.
