Couples celebrating milestone anniversaries of 5, 25, 40, 50, 60 and 60-plus years in 2023 gathered at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud May 6 for the annual Honoring Marriage Day Mass and celebration with Bishop Patrick Neary. The couples renewed their wedding vows during the Mass, and Bishop Neary prayed a special blessing over them. The couples then were invited to have their picture taken with the bishop.

Jim and Char Darlington renew their vows during the Mass. The Darlingtons, members of Sacred Heart Parish in Sauk Rapids, are celebrating 40 years of marriage this year.

After Mass, Bishop Neary says a blessing over Shirley Laing, who will have hip surgery soon, as her husband Frederick looks on. The Laings, who are members of Sacred heart Parish in Freeport, are celebrating 68 years of marriage this year.
