“Together” was the theme for this year’s combined middle and high school youth rally, held at Cathedral High School in St. Cloud Jan. 30. Students from around the diocese gathered for an inspirational talk, fun activities and prayer, including Mass with Bishop Kettler. They also participated in a consultation for the local synod process with members of the diocesan synod team. The high school students gave their input on questions such as, “Do you feel like you are an important part of your church or faith community?” “What are the challenges you are facing in your life right now?” and “What steps could the church take in your community of faith to meet the needs of young people?” Rally attendees also heard from St. Paul hip-hop artist Connor Flanagan, who talked about his faith journey and how God uses people’s gifts to help them reach others.
