Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in La Crosse set for Aug. 20

All are invited on a pilgrimage to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in La Crosse, Wisconsin, including a special visit to the shrine’s Memorial to the Unborn.

The Aug. 20 event is being organized by the diocesan offices of Marriage and Family and Multicultural Ministries as part of the Year of Mercy.

Pilgrims will depart at 6 a.m. from the north parking lot of the Pastoral Center, 305 N. 7th Ave., St. Cloud, and return at 10 p.m.

The day includes confessions and Mass. Bishop Donald Kettler, who will be a full participant for the day, will celebrate Mass. There will also be time to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. All are invited to bring a rosary.

A lunch is included and will be served after Mass at 1:15 p.m. Participants should bring their own snacks for the morning and something for supper. (Snack foods are available for purchase at the shrine.)

The cost of the pilgrimage is $50 for adults and $40 for children ages 12 and under. Make checks payable to the “Office of Marriage and Family-La Crosse” and send them to the Office of Marriage and Family-La Crosse, 305 N. 7th Ave., St. Cloud, MN 56303. For more information, call 320-252-4721.
