In commemoration of the 2025 Jubilee Year “Pilgrims of Hope,” the Poor Clare Sisters have scheduled 12 additional opportunities to pray with their community, in addition to the daily Mass at 7 a.m. in the chapel at the St. Clare Monastery, 421 S. 4th St., Sauk Rapids.
On the last Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m., the sisters plan to celebrate either a Mass or Divine Mercy Chaplet with the faithful in the St. Cloud Diocese.
Pope Francis has encouraged people to make a dedicated effort to participate in spiritual and corporal works of mercy during this Jubilee Year, observed from Dec. 24, 2024, to Jan. 6, 2026. Praying with the Poor Clare Sisters is one of the 24 practices promoted in the Jubilee Passport, which was created to assist Catholics in the diocese to perform a variety of acts which may provide eligibility to receive plenary indulgences.
Masses will be celebrated on Jan. 31, March 28, May 30, July 25, Sept. 26 and Nov. 28. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed Feb. 28, April 25, June 27, Aug. 29, Oct. 31 and Dec. 26.
