Transitional Deacons Nathaniel Daubner and Joseph VanDenheuvel are set to be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Patrick Neary, C.S.C., at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. The ordination Mass is open to everyone.
Name: Deacon Nathaniel Daubner

Home Parish: St. Mary, Milaca, and St. Louis Bertrand, Foreston
Parents: Nathan and Jennifer Daubner
Minor Seminary: Saint John Vianney College Seminary, St. Paul
Major Seminary: Saint Paul Seminary, St. Paul
Deacon Nathaniel Daubner has parishioners from the Northern Cross Area Catholic Community “on the forefront of his mind’ and praying for all the people he will minister to there, as following his ordination, he will serve as the parochial vicar of the parishes of Holy Cross, Butler; Sacred Heart, Dent; St. Henry, Perham; and St. Lawrence, Rush Lake.
In addition to serving in priestly ministry, Deacon Daubner looks forward to more opportunities to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors when he returns to Central Minnesota.
“I grew up with fishing and hunting. Being in the seminary the last eight years has made it tough to do, so I’m a little rusty,” Deacon Daubner said. “I’m excited to get back into that with people.”
