‘Rule of Benedict’ letterpress-printed scroll on display at St. Benedict’s Monastery

A letterpress-printed scroll of the “Rule of St. Benedict” measuring 32 feet long is on display in the Gathering Place of St. Benedict’s Monastery during the month of July. The scroll is the result of a nine-month-long collaboration between Richard Bresnahan, pottery director at St. John’s University, and Mary Bruno, local artist and owner of Bruno Press in St. Joseph.

The public is invited to view the scroll at the monastery. Previously, the intricately designed scroll had been on display at the Alcuin Library at SJU.
