The Diocese of St. Cloud needs singers and instrumentalists to assist with the diocesan V Encuentro and Diocesan Ministry Day events, Sunday, Sept. 24 and Monday, Sept. 25, respectively. Both will be held at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud. Rudolph Lopez, from OCP Publications, will be the clinician for the musicians, according to Timothy Johnston, director of the diocesan Office of Worship.
“Working with Rudolph Lopez is a fantastic opportunity for choir members from across the diocese,” Johnston said.
Singers and instrumentalists must be able and willing to commit to attend both events and be present for all the liturgies. This includes a Sept. 24 evening Prayer/Concert at 7 p.m. (They will be the choir for that event).
Rehearsals are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, and from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 (with lunch provided). The evening and full-day rehearsals will include liturgical music formation as well, Johnston said. The location of the rehearsals has not yet been determined.
