The annual Parish Social Ministry Gathering is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Christ the King Church in Browerville. The workshop is for those interested in learning about social ministry and joining in prayer, fellowship and idea-sharing with others who desire to make a difference in their communities.
The event will feature Kevin Skwira-Brown of Cultural Fluency Associates and diverse panelists who will discuss racism and how to provide parishioners with the tools and confidence to have conversations about its presence in their communities.
