SEEK23 boasted approximately 19,000 registrants, many of whom have since returned to their parishes and college campuses to spread the Gospel.

In addition to individual confession with one of four priests who will be available, the day includes exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, adoration and votive candles for penitents to light at the front of the church. Sacred music also will play quietly in the church.

In his letter to pastors, Bishop Kettler also addressed a change in protocols for adoration chapels, and he included a reminder about the importance of wearing masks.

The Church offers a variety of prayer forms and spiritual practices to deepen our faith during these holy seasons.

By midday Oct. 30, Unite Our Nation was more than halfway to its goal of holding adoration of the Blessed Sacrament events at 1,000 parishes nationwide on Election Day, Nov. 3, while the voting polls are open in parishes’ respective time zones.

The announcement was accompanied by a list of strict guidelines that pastors and parishes must follow. These include limiting the number of people in the church at any one time to 10 or less, following current social distancing guidelines, and cleaning and sanitizing pews daily.
