Two stained-glass windows salvaged from the old Holy Angels Church in St. Cloud will have a new life in the chapel at Cathedral High School.

Classes are scheduled to begin Sept. 1 in all CCS elementary schools and Sept. 8 at Cathedral High School.

Cathedral High School Principal Paula Foley is retiring Jan. 31 after 36 years in education. Stepping in as interim principal is Kathy Crispo, who has served as principal of St. Francis Xavier School in Sartell since 2012.

Dozens of preschoolers and kindergarteners are playing soccer in the field behind St. Paul Church in St. Cloud. It’s a brand-new program for some of the youngest students enrolled in Catholic Community Schools (CCS).

Kevin Powers, the superintendent of the Catholic Community Schools system in the St. Cloud area, announced Sept. 14 that he is resigning, effective Dec. 15.

Paula Foley has been selected as the new principal of Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, the school’s board of directors and Catholic Community Schools announced July 30.

The Diocese of St. Cloud celebrated Catholic Schools Week by holding Masses at two locations simultaneously Jan. 31. Two thousand students and teachers from the St. Cloud area Catholic Community Schools gathered at Cathedral High School, while 600 were on hand at St. John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville. 

On Jan. 5, five students from St. Katharine Drexel School in St. Cloud were welcomed into the Catholic Church through the waters of baptism in the presence of their families, godparents and entire school community.
