While many businesses and organizations were hamstrung by the near-immediate shutdown wrought last year by the coronavirus pandemic, the Catholic Mobilization Network flourished in ways like never before, according to its executive director, Krisanne Vaillancourt Murphy.
The documentary “The Prison Within,” looks at how restorative justice principles work with those society typically regards as the most hardened murderers.
With the launching of the National Catholic Pledge to End the Death Penalty sponsored by Catholic Mobilizing Network, an anti-death penalty advocate feels it will give the Catholic community a way to one-day end the death penalty.
A pledge campaign to end to capital punishment that took root in January with the Catholic Mobilizing Network was signed by bishops at the U.S. bishops’ headquarters building May 9.
