Franciscan Sisters of LIttle Falls

Franciscan Sister Beatrice Eichten began her five-year term as community minister after a transfer of leadership ceremony in Little Falls June 4.

The center in Little Falls is offering the public two new opportunities to bring music into their lives.

The Christmas season begins with vigil Masses on Christmas Eve and concludes on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, Jan. 9.

Local religious communities will be hosting a variety of Advent services, programs, retreats, reflections and concerts

Franciscan Sister Frances Kempenich, 97, died July 22 at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. Receiving of the body of Sister Frances will be Thursday, July 28, at 9 a.m. followed by visitation until the time of her funeral at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Convent.

One Planet Fund grants of up to $1,000 are awarded three times a year. All faith-based groups, especially youth groups, are encouraged to develop creative projects that will further climate change mitigation and sustainable living.

Sister Lillian Kroll has created more than 100 paintings and presented three solo shows. Many of her paintings have been reproduced as elegant cards.
