The team of NET missionaries, currently working in lLittle Falls, encourage all Catholics to answer the call to missionary discipleship.

There is a blanket, standing implication of Church law that all Catholics, ordained or lay, are qualified to preach, if invited to do so.

Missionary discipleship is one of our key guiding principles for the pastoral planning process because it is foundational as a follower of Christ.

In his Nov. 15 address to the U.S. bishops at their annual fall assembly in Baltimore, the papal nuncio, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, emphasized the need to remain focused on the church’s missionary role of spreading the Gospel message.

The release of the Framework for Motions signals the beginning of the end of the plenary journey with a call to “undertake the necessary work to rebuild confidence in the probity and trustworthiness of the Catholic community in this country.”

The convocation gathered together more than 3,100 lay and religious leaders from 160 dioceses and 185 national organizations to explore the current challenges and strengths of the church and its evangelization efforts.

Laura Kelly Fanucci will be a first-time presenter at two workshops during the event, which will be held Sept. 25 at River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, sharing ideas she has gleaned through her writing and her experiences of family life.
