National Eucharistic Revival

Relics of St. Manuel Gonzalez Garcia and Blessed Carlo Acutis, patrons of the National Eucharistic Revival, will be available for veneration in three parishes in the Diocese of St. Cloud between Sept. 30 and Oct. 5.

The first gathering is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at Our Lady of Victory in Fergus Falls with Bishop Andrew Cozzens of Crookston. In addition to his presentation, the relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis and St. Manuel Gonzalez Garcia, patrons of the Eucharistic Revival, will be on display there as part of a national tour.

The 2022 procession comes about two months after the launch of the U.S. Catholic Church’s three-year National Eucharistic Revival.

Dozens of Catholics from across the diocese made stops at three parishes in the eastern part of the diocese Aug. 4 for a eucharistic pilgrimage as part of the National Eucharistic Revival.

“Let’s challenge ourselves — as a diocese, ACCs and parishes — to think of ways to invite youth and young adults to participate in the planning of, and attendance at, revival-related events over these next few years.”

Father Jorge Torres, a priest of the Diocese of Orlando, Florida, appointed to his new post Aug. 5. will take his position Jan. 1.

More than 1,000 members of the Zomi tribe gathered from around the United States for the third National Zomi American Eucharistic Congress, held in Indianapolis.

Bishop Daly, chairman of the U.S. bishops’ education committee, delivered a keynote address July 11, 2022, during the 10th annual national conference of the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education July 11-14 at The Catholic University of America in Washington.
